Darla is the library liaison to the departments of Early Childhood and Elementary Education, Educational Studies and Secondary Education, Exceptionality Programs, and Developmental Studies. Other primary duties include providing reference services and developing and maintaining the Curriculum and Juvenile Collections. Darla came to Bloomsburg University in 2001 from Western Kentucky University, where she served as Coordinator of the Educational Resources Center. She is active in several professional organizations and currently serves on the Outstanding Books for the College Bound Committee, a committee of the Young Adult Library Services Association division of the American Library Association. Other current professional interests include information literacy and children’s literature.
