Navy Hall

Navy Hall in 1956.

Navy Hall was built in 1938 and was originally known as the Junior High School. This was its intended function, but the building only served as one for two short summer sessions. During WW II it was the official headquarters for several war programs. Navy officers used the first floor for offices and storage, hence the name Navy Hall. At the close of the war enrollment went up and the business education department moved in. Today, Navy Hall houses the departments of exceptionality programs and audiology & speech pathology. The reading clinic; speech, hearing, and language clinic and classrooms; and offices are also located in Navy Hall.
