Students should use their login and password from "MyMail" (the Bloomsburg University Student Email system).
Faculty and Staff need to use their "BUAD" account on the wireless network.

After you boot up your laptop with your wireless card installed:

Click on the Ballon "one or more wireless networks are available."
    you'll get this screen.

    Click on "Change Advanced settings."
    You'll get this screen.

    Click on "Wireless Networks"

    click on "Add."
    which brings up this screen.

Make sure this matches. We're using WPA and TKIP as our Authentication and Data Encryption. (ie. Data Encryption is checked, and the key is provided for me automatically is checked and everything else is unchecked. You will probably need to type in bloomu for the Network Name (SSID) to tell windows which network to connect to.)
    Click on the "Authentication" tab.
This is the major screen to configure your laptop to talk to our network.

You must enable "IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network." You must also choose "Protected EAP (PEAP)"
(note: 'smart card or certificate' is default and is NOT compatable with our EAP methods.)
Unclick on: "Authenticate as computer when computer information is available."
Then click on "Properties" for more settings.
This is the "Protected EAP Properties" screen.

Make sure to check "Validate Server Certificate."
Make sure the Authentication Method is: "Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)" is selected and "Enable Fast Reconnect" is unchecked.
    Click on "Configure",
which brings up the "EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties" screen.

uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)"
    Click OK
    Click OK Again
    Click OK Again
    Click OK one more time.
You should be back to your desktop.
    You'll get this bubble again.

Click on the Ballon "one or more wireless networks are available"
    you'll get this screen.

Highlight bloomu And then this time, Click on "Connect."
You should get this bubble instead:

Click on the Ballon "Click here to select a certification or other credentials..."
    and get this screen.

Here is where you finally log into the network using your "MyMail" Account.
Your "User Name" is your "User ID" from your "MyMail" account. (or your "BUAD" for faculty and staff)
Your "Password is your current password from your "MyMail" account. (or your "BUAD" password for faculty and staff.)
"Logon Domain" is always "STUDENT" for all students.
and "Logon Domain" is always "BUAD" for all Faculty and Staff.
You'll get one more screen, asking to "Ok" our Server Certificate.

after you click ok, you should get a small bubble about "being connected to Network: bloomu."
Faculty and Staff Only: You should be ready to use the campus network and internet.
Go ahead and load up your Internet Web Browser (for most, it is Microsoft Internet Explorer) and go to the library website: http://library.bloomu.edu for access to all our online resources.

Students: Student will need to register their computer with rescomp on the first time they connect to the wireless.

You also MUST have an up to date virus scanner If you do not own a registered version of a virus scanner, the University will provide you with a licensed copy upon your arrival (Please note, Trial versions will not be accepted by the registration process.  You must have a fully functional virus scanner to continue with registration).   Furthermore,Windows must have all critical updates and service packs, which can be obtained from the Windows Update web site.  You can not gain access to the campus network until all steps of the registration process are accomplished.
