Q Where are the books located?
A General (circulating) books starting with the call letters A-N are on the 3rd Floor; the rest (P-Z) are on the 4 th Floor. The Reference, Juvenile and Curriculum Collections are on the 2nd Floor.

Q Where are the periodicals (journals & magazines) and newspapers located?
A Paper issues from 1989 to the present are on the 1st Floor; the rest are on the 4th.
Titles retained in microfilm are housed in special shelving along the left (North) wall on the 1 st Floor after the “New Books” display shelving. All are arranged alphabetically by the name of the periodical.
Q Where are the fiction books shelved?
A University libraries do not have a separate “Fiction” section. Rather, literature of all types (novels, short stories, poetry) are shelved by the nationality of the author. Use our Pilot, our online catalog if you are looking for a particular titles or ask at the Reference Desk for assistance.
Q How do I access your electronic databases from home?
A Choose "Find Articles and More" or "Databases (A-Z)" from the menu on our home page. Once you select a specific database, you will be asked for your Bloomsburg library number (it can be located on your ID card, lower right hand corner). Upon submitting it, you will be taken to the databse you selected. If you are denied access, call the Circulation Desk at 570-389-4205.
Q How do I know if the entire text of an article is available for me to print from the computer?
A If the article is available in the database you are searching, you will be given a direct link to click to get to it. If not, you will see a button labeled “Article Linker” or "Check Availability". Click on that and you will be told if it is available in any database to which the Library subscribes or if the Library subscribes to it in paper. If it is available in a different database, Serials Solutions will provide you with link that will enable you to retrieve the article and print it.
Q Where are your computers located?

Q The computer I'm using won't save/print/read my file. The printer is jammed/needs paper/toner.
A Contact the Computer Lab Consultant at the Access Services Desk on the 2nd Floor; you may do so in person or you may use any of the wall phones installed throughout the Library.
