Noetling Hall

Noetling in 1956.
Noetling Hall was built in 1885 and stood where Scranton Commons is today. Named in 1927 for William Noetling, Head of the Department of Pedagogy from 1877-1900, Noetling Hall housed the psychological and speech clinics. The building was also equipped with offices and consultation rooms. Prior to the construction of Ben Franklin Hall it served as the Training School. Noetling was demolished in 1967 to make way for the commons.
