Husky Lounge

The Husky Lounge as it appeared in 1940.

An addition built onto Waller Hall in 1894, this former gymnasium was among the best gyms in America. It was fitted with the finest apparatus made and contained a running gallery, and baths and lockers for both boys and girls. After Centennial Gym was built this building was renovated as a recreation center to contain a Snack Bar, a television lounge, and the College Book Store. The Husky Lounge was demolished in 1971 in order to clear the site for the construction of the Kehr Union.
